Mainak Dey is a Kolkata based Photographer who carries a great passion towards different genres of Photography and takes out time to run behind them to fulfill the hunger for passion.
Being a self taught Photographer, he started his journey with Travel Photography and gradually upskilled himself with different Indoor lighting techniques and Creative portraiture. His works on environmental Portraits also display different shades and dimensions of people in various moods from different regions.
His Fashion and Glamour portraits are always very uniquely characterized by the chiaroscuro and the ambience created.
With an experience of more than 10 years in Photography, His photographs also disperse from beautiful landscapes to the stories of people from different races, religions and countries.
In the Journey of his Photographic career, Mainak has won more than 1200 International awards from as many as 68 countries across the globe.
He has been awarded as the BEST PHOTOGRAPHER in different International Photography contests and honoured with twelve Photographic Distinctions by different Leading Photography Organisations.
He has served as the Honorable Jury member in numerous International Prestigious Photo contests.
So far, the images clicked by Mainak has been exhibited in 72 different countries spanning all the continents where his creations are well applauded.
As a visual artist, Mainak always looks for new learnings and shares his knowledge with fellow Photographers to make the Photographic journey more collaborative Globally.
He also mentors people about Creative Indoor Lighting techniques and fashion Portraits through his Creative Fashion portrait workshops where people from India and abroad joins to learn the art of photography.
Mainak also servers as the mentor for Portrait genre in Photographic society of America.
In his journey as a Photo-artist, Mainak has not limited himself in a single genre of photography but indulged in multiple dimensions of it.
He is currently working on sustainability and wildlife conservation through his skills in Wildlife Photography.
In different Educational Institutes and Programmes,as Chief guest, He is building awareness amongst the new generation of the society by conducting lecture sessions and demonstrations on Tiger Projects in India and importance of conserving the ecosystem of mother nature .
He is associated with multiple NGOs and Photographic organisations where actively he fosters the cognizance to maintain ecological balance, reduce environmental damage, and ensure a healthier, more secure future for all living beings
